Kate has worked in the NHS since 2004, in CAMHS and in IAPT services. Kate has also worked as a tutor and supervisor at Exeter University teaching students on the Post Graduate Diploma in CBT to become therapists and also teaching CBT for Long Term Conditions and Medically Unexplained Symptoms. Kate has worked in private practice since 2014. She currently works in private practice and she is also an external marker at Exeter University marking work for the CBT for Long Term Conditions and Medically Unexplained Symptoms course.

Kate provides psychological therapy for all anxiety disorders, long term conditions such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, chronic fatigue & chronic pain, depression, school and work related stress, women’s health such as perimenopause, menopause and hormonal changes & perinatal care, anger and many more all following NICE recommended treatments. Kate has a keen interest in working with children and young people as well as adults. She works with each person individually to develop a formulation and treatment plan tailored to the individual, working with the person as a team to help them overcome the problem they are experiencing.

As well as face to face sessions, Kate offers video call sessions for people who prefer to work remotely. Video sessions have been proven to be just as effective as face to face sessions.

Alex Hughes CBT

Alex is a highly skilled professional with a background in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and nursing. With years of experience in behaviour change, Alex is known for being open, personable, and realistic in his approach to supporting clients. He is dedicated to providing evidence-based treatments and helping individuals make positive changes in their lives. Alex's expertise and compassionate nature make him a trusted and effective therapist for those seeking support in improving their mental health and well-being.

Alex specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, addictions, and work-related stress. Alex follows NICE-recommended treatments to ensure the highest quality of care for his clients. In addition to CBT, Alex also provides dependency and behavioural change consultancy services, helping individuals make positive changes in their lives and overcome challenges.

Alex has worked in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for several years and in Adult Therapy Services in the NHS as a Senior Therapist for six years. During this time, he received specialist training in Eating Disorders, Trauma Therapy, and Supervision, along with completing numerous short courses ranging from one to three days. As a Clinical Supervisor, Alex supported trainee therapists during their training and helped them develop their practice.

With Alex's expertise and compassionate approach, he is dedicated to supporting his clients on their journey towards improved mental well-being and overall wellness.
